Topics covered will include: age specific estate planning tips, 2020 tax law changes that affect your retirement, best types of assets to donate and vehicles to use based on a variety of goals and tax saving strategies, and best ways to navigate your IRA required minimum distribution.

Sarah Kordon
Wealth Advisor CFP® CRPS®, Merriman
Sarah is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist with eighteen years of experience in financial services. She is President-Elect for the Mid-Oregon Financial Planning Association board and has a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business from the University of Oregon.
The client’s overall well-being is Sarah’s constant focus. Her career has been motivated by her passion for helping people to achieve their goals through comprehensive financial planning. In addition to helping clients, Sarah volunteers in the local community, including past service assisting low-income individuals with financial planning as a Prosperity Planner with Goodwill Industries.
When she isn’t working, Sarah spends time with her husband, Kyle, their daughter, Olivia. They enjoy kid-friendly activities around Eugene, traveling, hiking, reading, and relaxing at home.
Sarah Subias

Sarah helps families navigate through the process of transferring an estate. Her practice includes counseling and drafting of wills and trusts, estate tax planning, family business succession planning, and asset protection. She also works with fiduciaries and beneficiaries during a probate administration or trust administration.
Outside of work, Sarah loves spending time with her family and exploring all that western Oregon has to offer.
Dana Fleming
Executive Director, Eugene Education Foundation
Since 2015, Dana has brought to EEF her breadth of experience, her commitment to community engagement, and her strong desire to make educational access and opportunities widely available to all students.
Dana Fleming has been involved with non-profit organizations in Alabama, Nevada, and Arkansas. The variety of services she helped provide through those organizations included: access to art education, facilitation of the creation and exhibition of public art, employment opportunities for youth, and domestic violence support services. In addition, Dana has been part of the educational community as an art teacher.
After relocating to Oregon with her family in 2012, Dana served as the head of fundraising for Adams Elementary’s Parent Teacher Organization, a co-coordinator of PAR, (Roosevelt Middle School’s parent organization) and as a member of South Eugene High School’s Parent Council. She currently serves on the local chapter of Stand For Children's Strategy Team. Additionally, she sits on Lane County Cultural Coalition Board and was a founding board member of ArtCity Eugene. Dana is a 2020 graduate of Leadership Eugene Springfield.
