School Supplies

For years, 4J elementary classrooms received essential school supplies through the district. That support was cut this past school year, and it hasn't come back. The gap is real, and the Eugene Education Foundation stepped in to help fill it.

This isn't an extra. It's a basic need that used to be covered, and now it falls to our community to make sure students don't go without.

Equity and access

No child should start the school year at a disadvantage. When every student has the supplies they need, they walk into the classroom on equal footing, regardless of their family's finances. They start the year with dignity and the resources to participate from day one.

For many Eugene families, especially those facing rising costs of living, buying school supplies is a real financial strain. Our goal is to remove that barrier so families can focus on what matters most, knowing their child is ready for school.

Funding school supplies means breaking down barriers, building confidence, and making sure every child in 4J has what they need to learn and thrive.
