School Supplies

Previously, 4J elementary classrooms received essential school supplies, thanks to the district. Due to recent budget cuts, this vital support is no longer available. This creates an immediate gap that the Eugene Education Foundation aims to fill.

This isn't an 'extra’ — it's a basic need that has traditionally been met, and now it falls to our community to ensure our students don't go without

EQUITY & ACCESS

No child should start the school year at a disadvantage. Providing supplies ensures every student, regardless of their family's financial situation, walks into the classroom on a level playing field. They start the year with dignity and the same basic resources, ready to participate and succeed from day one.

For many Eugene families, especially those struggling with rising costs of living, purchasing school supplies is a significant and overwhelming financial burden. Our goal is to remove this barrier, allowing families to focus on other essential needs, knowing their child is fully equipped for school.

In essence, funding school supplies is about breaking down barriers, building confidence, and ensuring that every child in our 4J district has the fundamental resources they need to thrive, learn, and reach their full potential
