Now more than ever, our students need classroom support rooted in care and connection.
Students today are experiencing overwhelming levels of stress and anxiety. The pandemic has created long-lasting effects on children's emotional well-being.
1,200 Lane County youth were admitted to the ER as a result of
mental health crises between May and October 2021.
Overwhelming numbers like these show us that school is not just a place for learning reading, writing, and arithmetic.
Psychological and physical safety underpin student success.
Getting students “back to normal,” even in
the short term, is going to take a comprehensive approach.
EEF supports the growing need for student emotional support by funding programs like Conscious Discipline, a social-emotional learning and classroom management strategy rooted in care and connection, and Sources of Strength, a youth suicide prevention program.
With your support, you can help teachers to convey to students as young as 5-6 years old that love, safety, community, and accountability are what makes for a more meaningful life.
Please donate to help to ensure our students feel
safe and supported so that they can learn and thrive!
